Outpatient infusion therapy at South County Hospital is most commonly used for cancer treatment (chemotherapy), and is one of many cancer treatment services available at the Hospital’s Wakefield campus.
Infusion therapy, medical treatment in which medication is usually delivered intravenously, also is used as treatment for many other conditions, including anemia, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohns Disease, dehydration, and infection.
Whatever your needs may be, the oncology-certified nurses and support staff at the South County Health's Infusion Therapy Unit provide top quality care in the comfort, convenience and privacy of a newly renovated wing—all at a location convenient for southern Rhode Islanders.
Treatment rooms include private bathroom, windows, visitor chairs, wi-fi, and television. Our Infusion Therapy Unit is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
