South County Hospital Anti-Coagulation Management

Close to Home in Southern Rhode Island

401 789-5572, Anti-Coagulation Management Clinic

Studies have shown that patients who use anti-coagulation management clinics have a much lower incidence of heart attacks, strokes and bleeding complications that those who do not.  The South County Hospital Anti-coagulation Management Service is the only pharmacist-directed clinic in southern Rhode Island dedicated to the assessment, monitoring and education of individuals taking anti-coagulation medications such as Coumadin® (warfarin), a commonly prescribed blood thinner.

Care with Your Comfort in Mind

Unlike traditional lab testing, only a drop of blood from a quick finger prick is required and results are available within one minute.  If any adjustment to your medication is needed, it can be made right away and all results are automatically forwarded to your doctor.  Because the staff are specially trained pharmacists, you are in expert hands and the process is streamlined.
