Meet Our Clinical Staff

The ob/gyn physicians of the Center for Women's Health believe women deserve exceptional care at every stage of their lives. Our doctors, midwives, and staff are dedicated to providing you with patient-centered personalized care and the latest technological advances, with a holistic approach that focuses on the well-being of your body, mind, and spirit. Offices in Wakefield, East Greenwich, and Westerly.
  • Jennifer Avedisian, RNP
    Prior to joining the practice, Jen was a labor and delivery nurse at South County Hospital for seven years. She attended the University of Rhode Island for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Jen lives in South Kingstown, RI with her husband and children. In the summer months, she and her family enjoy the South County beaches.
  • Kathleen A. Cassin, MD
    Dr. Cassin, who practices general gynecology, has been a member of the staff at South County Hospital since 2006. A Narragansett resident, she received her medical degree from Brown University and completed her residency at Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Cassin is a member of the North American Menopause Society and is a certified menopause practitioner.
  • Megin Dalton, MD
    A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA, Megin Dalton, MD went on to complete her residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. There, she was the Administrative Chief Resident. Most recently, she has been an OB/GYN physician on medical staff at the Day Kimball Medical Group in Putnam, CT.
  • Jeffrey F. Joseph, MD
    Dr. Joseph has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology at South County Hospital for 15 years. Doctor Joseph graduated from the University of Rhode Island and earned a master's degree from Georgetown University. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his residency at Baystate Medical Center, the Western Campus of Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Joseph and his wife have two children. He enjoys all outdoor activities, furniture making, playing the guitar, and travel.
  • Lori Kelley, CNM
    Lori Kelley, CNM, has helped deliver more than 1,000 babies in her career as a midwife. Lori received her midwife nursing degree  from the University of Rhode Island and her nursing degree from Rhode Island College. She is an avid cyclist, who has gone on several biking tours with her family through Europe and the United States.
  • Andrew F. Neuhauser, MD, FACOG
    Dr. Neuhauser started his medical career in the U.S. Navy after obtaining his medical degree from Georgetown University. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Neuhauser completed his residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego. He is an adjunct professor in nursing at the University of Rhode Island.

  • Lisa S. Rameaka, MD
    Dr. Rameaka has been providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care for the community since 2002. She received a B.A. and medical degree from the University of Vermont. Her residency training was at Baystate Medical Center, the Western Campus of Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts. Doctor Rameaka lives in South Kingstown, RI with her family.

  • Steven H. Schneider, MD
    Dr. Schneider provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological services, with a focus on female urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse, and minimally invasive gynecological surgeries. He received his master's degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University, and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He did his residency training at Baystate Medical Center, the Western Campus of Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts. Doctor Schneider lives in Kingston, RI with his wife and three children.
  • Mary Christina Simpson, MD
    Dr. Simpson completed her residency at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence where she received specialized training in obstetrics, the latest laparoscopic and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, as well as urodynamic testing and incontinence procedures. A graduate of Bowdoin College, Doctor Simpson continued her education at Boston University, where she earned a master's degree focusing on women's health and anatomy. She received her medical degree from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia. A native Rhode Islander, Dr. Simpson returned to the state to practice. She lives in East Greenwich, Rhode Island with her husband and three young children.
   
 
  • Cynthia Voytas, MSN, CNM
    Following a year abroad in Bonn, Germany, Cynthia Voytas, MSN, CNM received her Bachelor of Arets from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, after which she completed her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island and her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Voytas has worked as a registered nurse at both Kent County Hospital Labor and Delivery and at Women and Infants Hospital Labor and delivery. She has also been employed as a certified nurse midwife at Ob Gyn Associates.
     
  • Deborah White, CNM
    Deborah White, CNM, joined the Center for Women’s Health with more than 28 years experience as a certified nurse midwife. Formerly a midwife at Tollgate OB/GYN, she and colleague Christine Pfeiffer made the transition to the Center for Women’s Health together in fall 2013. Deborah is a University of Rhode Island nursing graduate with a master’s in nurse-midwifery from the University of Pennsylvania.  She is one of three midwives now on staff.  In her free time, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being involved with her church.
