Caring for a newborn baby can be challenging, especially during the first several weeks.  South County Home Health nurses can give you the support you need during this time.  Nurses are available for mother and baby care to ensure your health and the good health of your infant.  Visits include: 

  • Prenatal Maternal Care: a home and health assessment for a soon-to-be mom 
  • Maternal Child Care: a one-time visit by a registered nurse who will make a detailed assessment of mom and baby, including a head-to-toe examination of your newborn and a lactation consult 
  • Pediatric Care: health and support services for children, adolescents, and young adults up to 18 years of age who require care for chronic conditions
  • First Connections Program: funded through the RI Department of Health  
  • Healthy Families America: a nationally recognized evidence-based home visiting program designed for families who are at-risk for adverse childhood experiences, including child maltreatment.
