We are pleased to announce that Melinda Knight, MD, has joined South County Medical Group where she is now accepting patients in our urology practice.
Dr. Knight is a highly experienced surgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of urologic cancers using minimally invasive techniques, including the da Vinci XI surgical robotic system.
With her surgical experience in urologic oncology, Dr. Knight provides an exceptional level of care to patients diagnosed with prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, using advanced robotic and laparoscopic techniques to deliver the best possible outcome.
She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland, and completed a urological surgery residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota. She completed her general surgery residency and general surgery internship at the Medical College of Georgia.
During her career, Dr. Knight has been instrumental in starting multiple robotic surgery programs in Wisconsin, and most recently was Director of Robotic Surgery at Southwell Medical in Tifton, Georgia.
The experience she brings will help South County Health’s urology practice grow and deliver the high quality patient care for which it is known.
Dr. Knight and her colleagues of South County Health urology group provide personalized, high quality care for patients with a variety of urinary tract conditions such as kidney stones, overactive bladder, and enlarged prostate.
She will begin seeing patients in the Wakefield and East Greenwich offices beginning June 28.
