Speaker David Edmonson, MD, is the medical director of the Lymphedema Program for Women & Infants’ Program in Women’s Oncology. He is studying ways to help prevent and treat lymphedema, the swelling of the arms or legs that can occur in patients who have had lymph nodes removed as a part of their cancer surgery. Dr. Edmonson is also the physician liaison for Women & Infants Hospital Cancer Committee. He is currently studying different surgical techniques which may improve the cosmetic results after breast cancer surgery.
This 2018 annual clinical educational activity will be a lecture, open to physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
