This 2-hour prenatal breastfeeding class is taught by a Women and Newborn Care Unit lactation consultant. Learn the art and science of providing the perfect nutrition before baby's arrival. Emphasis is on strategies to promote successful breastfeeding, also called chestfeeding. Topics include: what you can expect at the hospital, how to avoid common breastfeeding issues, dispelling breastfeeding myths, and tips on ensuring an adequate milk supply. Partners are encouraged to attend.
