Betsy Barbera

Betsy Barbera, RD, LDN, CDOE, Outpatient Dietitian/NutritionistBetsy earned her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island (URI) and has a background and BS in Nursing, also from URI. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator. Betsy encourages healthy changes in eating habits and activity, which can work together to prevent or reduce health risks. She also has several years of experience working in behavioral health nutrition, which includes working with those with eating disorders. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Diabetes practice group.

Jeri Menard

Jeri has been a member of South County Health's healthcare team since 1995. She is located at South County Health Medical & Wellness Center in Westerly. She received her BS degree in food and nutritional science from the University of Rhode Island, and became a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 1989. A National Board Certified Diabetes Educator since 2003, she is also recognized by the Rhode Island Department of Health as a Certified Diabetes Outpatient Educator. Jeri provides individual medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for people with diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal diseases, and more. She often speaks on various nutrition topics via community presentations and education classes, and is a facilitator of South County Health's Diabetes Management and Support Group.

Bonnie Seekell

Bonnie received her BS degree in food and nutrition from Framingham State University and her MS degree in nutrition from Boston University. A National Board Certified Diabetes Educator, she is recognized as a Rhode Island Diabetes Outpatient Educator. Bonnie is passionate about using food to improve health, and helping people with their journey toward healthier eating. She is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its practice groups for Diabetes Care and Education, Vegetarian Nutrition and Integrative and Functional Medicine.
