South County Hospital’s rehabilitation facility is one of the most comprehensive cardiopulmonary rehabilitation centers in Rhode Island. A board-certified cardiologist oversees our programs, which are conducted at South County Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Wellness & Fitness Center, a state-of-the-art facility.

Tribute Campaign for Cardiopulmonary Rehab Services

Honor a special person in your life by contributing to the Frances McGillivray Tribute Campaign. When you make a gift of $100 or more in honor or memory of a loved one, their name will be featured on the Frances McGillivray Tribute wall plaque in the hospital main lobby. The Plaque is renewed each April.

 

Who is Frances McGillivray?

Frances "Nonnie" McGillivray (September 3, 1935 - June 21, 2011)

Frances McGillivray, known amongst her immediate family and community as “Nonnie,” was born at South County Hospital in 1935 as the youngest of nine children from Italian immigrant parents. Nonnie established a wonderful life in the South County community marrying Robert McGillivray and raising her three sons, Robert Jr., Hugh “Mac,” and John.  Nonnie spent most of her time volunteering, cooking and praying always for others.  She was active in her church, St. Mary’s of the Sea.  She was a beloved volunteer at South County Hospital.  She was a source of strength, comfort and unconditional love to her sons and grandchildren.
