South County Health is proud to share that the 2025 Mews Gear ’n’ Beer 5K raised $57,000 in support of patient care and health services for our community.

Hosted by The Mews Tavern, the annual race once again brought together runners, volunteers, sponsors, and local businesses from across Rhode Island, all united by a shared commitment to giving back. Proceeds from the event directly benefit South County Health, helping ensure continued access to high-quality, compassionate care close to home.

A standout feature of this year’s event was the strong presence of South County Health staff and leadership, who volunteered their time on race day—staffing food stations, cheering on runners, and participating alongside the community they serve every day. Many wore special pink T-shirts designed in house and created exclusively for staff who ran or volunteered, creating a visible “sea of pink” that reflected both team pride and shared purpose.

“We are incredibly grateful to The Mews, the event sponsors, local businesses who donated raffle prizes, and the countless volunteers who made this race possible,” said South County Health Foundation's Jennifer Martin. “Events like this demonstrate the power of community partnership and the impact it can have on the health of our neighbors.”

South County Health extends sincere thanks to everyone who participated—whether by running, volunteering, sponsoring, or cheering from the sidelines. Your support helps strengthen care in our community today and into the future.
