This 2-hour prenatal breastfeeding class is taught by a Women and Newborn Care Unit lactation consultant. Learn the art and science of providing the perfect nutrition before baby's arrival. Emphasis is on strategies to promote successful breastfeeding. Topics include: what you can expect at the hospital, how to avoid common breastfeeding issues, dispelling breastfeeding myths, and tips on ensuring an adequate milk supply. Partners or a single support person are encouraged to attend.

Preparing for Birth focuses on an in-depth preparation for the birthing experience. From identifying the early stages of labor, to comfort measures and pain management options, we cover all aspects of labor, delivery, and the early post-partum period to help prepare you and those supporting you for a successful birthing experience. This class includes a video tour of the Women and Newborn Care Unit. Partners are strongly encouraged to attend.

Give the gift of life! Join us at South County Health on Wednesday, March 25th, from 12:30–4:30 PM for a blood drive with the Rhode Island Blood Center. The Bloodmobile will be parked outside the Blaise Entrance at 100 Kenyon Avenue, Wakefield. Community members 17+ in good health are welcome to donate, just eat well, hydrate, bring a photo ID, and meet the minimum weight requirement. Every donation helps patients in need, come be a lifesaver!
