SCH Childbirth Educators Featured on The Rhode Show
South County Health is proud to offer free, expert-led classes that support growing families from pregnancy through early parenthood.
This week on The Rhode Show, two of our trusted educators—Amanda Phillips, RN, a Labor & Delivery Nurse who teaches Preparing for Birth, and Desiree DesVergnes, RN, an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant who leads Breastfeeding Success—shared how these classes help parents feel informed, confident, and supported.
Taught by the same compassionate nurses who care for patients in our Women and Newborn Care Unit, our programs offer real-world guidance on everything from labor and delivery to breastfeeding and new baby care.
Whether you're preparing for your first birth or looking for extra support with feeding and bonding, our childbirth education classes provide the tools and community you need for a healthy start.
On Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 pm ET, South County Health Main Hospital phone and fax lines will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 3.5 hours. Emergencies should call 9-1-1 for non-urgent matters, please call 401-328-5950.
