More Than Two Decades of Dedication

For nearly three decades, Karen Grace has generously shared her time, talents, and compassion with our organization. Since beginning her volunteer service in 1998, she has become a familiar and beloved presence throughout the hospital, touching countless lives through her dedication and kindness.

A Driving Force Behind a Cherished Tradition

Many of South County Health's volunteers are active members of the Auxiliary, and Karen's commitment to the organization has been exceptional. For decades, she has played a leading role in organizing the Auxiliary's annual Fashion Show, one of its most anticipated fundraising events.

From securing raffle donations and recruiting vendors to coordinating models and event details, Karen works tirelessly behind the scenes to help make the event a success year after year. Her efforts have helped strengthen a cherished community tradition while supporting important initiatives throughout South County Health.

Creating a Warm Welcome

Beyond her Auxiliary involvement, Karen can be found volunteering every Friday afternoon at the hospital's Main Entrance.

Whether greeting visitors, escorting patients, or simply offering a reassuring smile, Karen helps create a welcoming environment for everyone who enters our doors. Her warmth and compassion provide comfort during moments when patients and families may need it most.

The True Spirit of Volunteerism

Karen's selfless service, positive attitude, and unwavering dedication exemplify the very best of volunteerism. Her impact extends far beyond the hours she gives, helping to create a culture of compassion and community throughout South County Health.

It is our honor to recognize Karen Grace as June's Volunteer of the Month and to thank her for the many ways she continues to make South County Health a better place for patients, visitors, staff, and fellow volunteers.
