Can I transfer my care to South County Health?
Yes, patients of Dr. Gerald Colvin, Dr. Griffin Reynolds, Patricia Karwan, DNP, and Heather Glenn, FNP may transfer their care to South County Health Cancer Center.
To begin the process:
Complete the Roger Williams Medical Center’s Health Information Release Form.
Submit the form to Roger Williams’ Medical Center Health Information Department.
Their office will then fax over the completed Medical Records directly to South County Health.
When will my provider start seeing patients at South County Health?
Dr. Colvin - October 21, 2025
Dr. Reynolds - November 19, 2025 (Approximate)
Patricia Karwan, DNP - December 15, 2025 (Approximate)
Heather Glenn, FNP - January 19, 2026 (Approximate)
How will my Medical Records be transferred?
Patients should fill out the Roger Williams Medical Center’s Health Information Release Form to start the process and submit to the Roger Williams’ Medical Center Health Information Department. Their office will then fax over the completed Medical Records to South County Health.
How will I know if/when my Medical Records were successfully transferred?
When your Medical Records are received, South County Health Cancer Center will call to confirm receipt and to schedule an appointment. Please allow at least 7 business days for requests to be processed and records to be transferred.
Can I keep my next scheduled appointment and transfer it to South County Health or do I have to reschedule?
Unfortunately, you will need to reschedule. Once South County Health receives your records, our team will call you to schedule an appointment and make every effort to accommodate your preferred date and time.
Where are South County Health's oncology services located?
South County Health Cancer Center
100 Kenyon Avenue, Suite 101 in Wakefield, Rhode Island.
Including Oncology, Hematology, Infusion Therapy, Surgical Oncology (Dr. Espat), and Breast Surgery (Dr. Tassinari)
East Greenwich Medical and Wellness Center (New Location beginning in November)
3461 South County Trail, Suite 201 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
Dr. Colvin and Heather Glenn, FNP are anticipated to see patients in this location two days a week.

What is the anticipated schedule for each new provider?
The current schedules of each provider is still being finalized. However, below is an anticipated plan:
Dr. Colvin - 2 days a week in Wakefield and 2 days a week in East Greenwich
Dr. Reynolds - 4 days a week in Wakefield
Patricia Karwan, DNP - 4 days a week in Wakefield
Heather Glenn, FNP - 2 days a week in East Greenwich
How long will my appointments be scheduled for?
New oncology or hematology patient - 60 minutes
Current South County Health patient who is transferring their care to another provider - 40 minutes
Current CharterCare (Roger Williams Cancer Center) patient transferring with their provider - 20 minutes
Follow-up visits - 20 minutes
Are there any locum (temporary) providers at the Cancer Center?
No, beginning in December 2025 will be fully staffed with the following permanent oncology providers:
- 7 Medical Oncology Providers - Dr. Colvin (Medical Director), Dr. McKinney, Dr. Reynolds, Dr. Seidler, Heather Glenn, FNP, Patricia Karwan, DNP, Michelle Viveiros, DNP
- 2 Radiation Oncologists - Dr. Joyce (Medical Director) and Dr. Assif
- 1 Surgical Oncologist - Dr. Espat
- 1 Breast Health Surgeon - Dr. Tassinari
South County Health is now staffed with more oncology providers than at any point in our history.
Should I continue to receive Infusion Therapy treatments at Roger Williams Cancer Center?
Yes, if you are a patient of Dr. Colvin, Dr. Reynolds, Patricia Karwan, DNP, or Heather Glenn, FNP and you are receiving Infusion Therapy treatments at Roger Williams Cancer Center, you should continue to receive your treatments there until the end of your current cycle. You should then discuss with your provider next steps in your treatment care plan.
What if I have an urgent need, but I’m not a South County Health patient yet?
We are able to assist if we have received your Medical Records. You may call our Cancer Center at 401-783-6670. If we have not received your Medical Records, we encourage you to reach out to your previous provider’s office. If it is an emergency, please go to the Emergency Department or call 911.
