Published 06/29/2020

Hannah Weiner, an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) has joined the South County Health Medical Staff to practice with the hematology/oncology team in the Cancer Center.

Hannah attended Medical University of South Carolina where she earned a BSN before earning an MSN as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Barnes Jewish College, Goldfarb School of Nursing, St. Louis, MO.

She is ANCC board certified and experienced in primary care and cancer care environments.

Besides the experience she gained through years of training, Hannah’s personal experiences brings compassion to her work.

“I’ve had several family members diagnosed with cancer and as a result have felt drawn to this career field. While I was in nursing school I completed a nursing externship on the Bone Marrow Transplant floor.

During my time there, I learned how thoughtful and caring the physicians, nurses, medical assistants and staff who work in oncology are. I wanted to work with people like that.”

Once Hannah arrived at South County Health, she immediately felt as if she was part of something unique. An organization that puts the patient first mirrored her own philosophy of care.

“We are here to guide people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. My job is to give them the information they need to make the best decisions.”
