Make time for your mammogram. We did!

Published 10/30/2020

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and South County Health just made it possible for over 12,000 women to receive their annual mammogram.

With over 1,000 new breast cancer cases expected to be diagnosed in Rhode Island this year, our Women’s Imaging Center has coordinated staff and resources to accommodate an additional 2,184 appointments annually.

When breast cancer is detected and treated early, women have a 96 percent survival rate.

Open. Safe. Ready.

During the COVID pandemic, many women had to postpone their annual mammogram. Now South County Health is Open, Safe, and Ready with sanitizing and social distancing practices in place to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.

Appointments are available Monday – Saturday, 7:30 am to late afternoon at South County Health’s East Greenwich and Westerly Medical & Wellness Centers, as well as Wakefield at the South County Hospital campus, offering 3D digital mammography technology in a convenient and comfortable setting.

Using 3D digital mammography, radiologists can see breast tissue detail in a way never before possible, and patients can expect precise images and timely results.

Make your appointment today! Call 401-788-1486.
