Connect with certified nurse-midwives from the Center for Women's Health, learn about their approach to obstetric care, and explore the full range of services South County Health provides. Discussions highlight personalized prenatal care, support during labor and birth, postpartum follow-up, and newborn care. Attendees gain insight into how midwives collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, compassionate, and holistic maternity care tailored to each family’s needs

Preparing for Birth & Beyond
Breastfeeding Success
This 2-hour prenatal breastfeeding class is taught by a Women and Newborn Care Unit lactation consultant. Learn the art and science of providing the perfect nutrition before baby's arrival. Emphasis is on strategies to promote successful breastfeeding. Topics include: what you can expect at the hospital, how to avoid common breastfeeding issues, dispelling breastfeeding myths, and tips on ensuring an adequate milk supply. Partners or a single support person are encouraged to attend.
Free Classes held monthly in Newport and Wakefield.
