Originally known as VNS Home Health Services, South County Home Health has been serving Rhode Island residents since 1905. We are the oldest and largest non-profit provider of skilled home care in South County, Kent County, Newport County, and beyond. South County Health is your resource for home-based care needs. Whether you're looking for medical or non-medical care in the comfort and safety of your home, we offer insurance-covered home care through South County Home Health. South County Home Health is comprised of skilled visiting nurse care, rehabilitation, wound care, and more, all covered by insurance. In 1999, our commitment to excellence and community service was further strengthened by our formal affiliation with South County Health. Under this enhanced relationship, South County Home Health continues to work closely with other hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to address the home health needs of our patients. 

 

We are proud of our long-standing tradition of caring which is reflected in our mission and delivered yearly to more than 4,000 patients who rely on the highly trained nurses and other clinical and professional support staff who comprise the South County Home Health family.
