Peter LaRoche, Patient Care Technician, was the latest recipient of South County Health's Petal Award.  

From the nomination letter: “Peter was the PCT who spent 3 days caring for our mom. He demonstrated such empathy and compassion during a very difficult time. Peter spoke to her with care and concern. He explained things as he was doing them. He offered kind words and understanding and checked in on our family frequently to see if we needed anything. I am a healthcare provider. In a system where it is easy to say what is wrong with healthcare, Peter exemplified what health care should be – CARE. Our family cannot fully express our appreciation for Peter’s care and kindness. He deserves to be recognized for putting the values of South County Health into practice.”

The Petal Award, developed by South County Health Nursing Shared Governance Committee, recognizes excellence among staff who assist nurses. 

South County Health congratulates Peter on this remarkable honor and thanks him for his dedication.
