Angela M. Taber, MD, has joined the Medical Staff at South County Health as the Medical Director of the Cancer Center.
Dr. Taber joins South County Health’s Cancer Center from The Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital.
She is the only physician in Rhode Island board certified in both Oncology and Palliative Care.
For the last two years, Dr. Taber has been chosen by her peers as a Rhode Island Monthly “Top Doc” in Hematology/Oncology.
As the Cancer Center Medical Director, Dr. Taber leads a multi-disciplinary team of expert physicians and highly trained staff practicing the latest medical advances in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
The South County Health Cancer Center is one of only 24 accredited cancer programs in the United States to receive the 2018 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer.
