A new staff parking lot will be coming soon, freeing up an additional 57 spots closer to the hospital providing patients and visitors more convenient access to care.
South County Health has purchased the property at 11 Kenyon Avenue, located at the intersection of Kenyon Avenue and Salt Pond Road. We are developing this site into a new staff parking lot, fully funded by a generous gift from an anonymous, grateful patient. This remarkable gift exemplifies how donor support enhances the care experiences at South County Health. helping free up closer spaces for our patients and visitors.
We’ve already engaged with neighbors to gather feedback on design elements, including landscaping, noise and light mitigation, environmental protections, and safety measures. Their input has been instrumental in shaping the final plan.
As parking on the main hospital campus continues to be limited, particularly during peak hours and busy seasons, this expansion will reduce congestion and improve access by dispersing parking across a broader footprint. In particular, patients visiting the Medical Office Building and other areas of our main campus, including oncology, orthopedic, obstetrics, and mobility-impaired patients will have more convenient access to care.
Looking ahead, plans are also being finalized for a new walking path on the hospital campus, and we will provide updates as that project moves forward.
