Millions of people all over the world have diabetes. When you learn about diabetes, it is easier to manage. It is normal to feel sad, mad, scared or guilty when you are diagnosed with diabetes or even if you have had it for awhile.
South County Health has Diabetes Champions and Diabetes Educators along with your healthcare team who can help you take care of your diabetes and show you how to lead a healthy life. Support and education make life with diabetes easier.
Our Diabetes Center will give you the tips, tools and
techniques to optimize your health and empower you to
make and keep healthy lifestyle choices.
Prior to attending our diabetes management classes, you need to schedule a one-on-one session with our South County Health Diabetes Center Coordinator, April Silvestro. April is a National Board Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator with nearly 30 years' experience as a nurse and more than 20 years' experience as a diabetes educator. April provides both individual and group sessions on diabetes, and is a co-leader of the Diabetes Management and Support Groups.
